Griffiths brace sinks Pontypridd as United go second

Iwan Griffiths scored either side of a Bobby Fenwick penalty as Wrexham United beat Pontypridd United 3–0 in front of a sold-out Bangor Road, a fourth win from five games in the club's first Cymru Premier campaign.

"For a team that only kicked a ball together in July, the understanding is way ahead of schedule," said manager Aled Rowlands. United sit a point behind The New Saints, who they host on 25 September.
